Formed in January of 1999, Falco Ink is a leading entertainment public relations and marketing firm. The firm is the collaboration of individuals whose combined experience in the entertainment industry totals more than 60 years. The strength of Falco Ink is that these individuals have all worked together throughout their careers, creating an unusually close-knit team of experience and synchronicity. The two partners of Falco Ink. are Janice Roland and Shannon Treusch. Falco Ink's expertise ranges from the corporate to the individual, from major studios to small independent companies, focusing on publicity, film premieres, special events and influential seeding. Falco Ink was named after the character Sidney Falco (played by Tony Curtis), the street-wise publicist from director Alexander MacKendrick and screenwriters Clifford Odets and Ernest Lehman's "Sweet Smell of Success," a film from 1956. We are a public relations presence for domestic press as well as international press. In addition to films and television accounts, we represent directors, writers, producers/production companies, authors, celebrities, film festivals, film publications and film societies. Falco is a presence at most major world film festivals. We have attended Sundance, Berlin, Cannes, Venice, Toronto and New York. In addition to public relations, Falco is involved in bringing to the attention of potential distributors films that have not been purchased for release. THEATRICAL CAMPAIGNS Falco Ink. creates and implements theatrical campaigns for feature films and documentaries, working with studios, independent distributors and production companies. Our clients include Sony Pictures Classics, Picturehouse, Warner Independent Pictures, Lionsgate Films and Magnolia Pictures among others. We are brought into the process at various stages to consult and strategize the best ways to reach the target audiences through publicity, special events and promotional outreach. On a per case basis, we also work with smaller festivals including the Hamptons and Berkshires film festivals. We have worked on the festival circuit for over fifteen years and have watched them evolve first hand from festivals that received limited coverage to events that receive worldwide attention. Due to our experience, we can anticipate and plan accordingly for the changes of these festivals as they grow. We have developed strong relationships with the people who run these festivals as well as the journalists that cover them and the industry executives who attend them. Most recently at Sundance we handled Jonathan Levine's The Wackness,Alex Rivera's Sleep Dealer and Stacy Peralta's Made in America. SPECIAL EVENTS Falco Ink. organizes special events for films and corporate events. Not only will we create and manage the event, we will also invite the media and key industry people to the event. Film Premieres For most of our films, we will organize film premieres. This can range from hipper, VIP events for films including Sylvia starring Gwyneth Paltrow, and My Life Without Me starring Sarah Polley, Mark Ruffalo and Scott Speedman to larger premieres for films including Road to Perdition, starring Tom Hanks and Paul Newman and Shrek starring Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy. Television Premieres Falco Ink has handled season premiere events for several series including Rescue Me and Damages. Film Society of Lincoln Center Annual Gala Tribute Every year we handle all press for the Film SocietyÃÆ'Æ'Ã'Ã'¢ÃÆ'Ã'¢'Ã'Ã'¬ÃÆ'Ã'¢"Ã'Ã'¢s annual gala tribute. 2008's tribute honors Meryl Streep. Past recipients include Diane Keaton and Jessica Lange. Film Festival Events We work with film and corporate clients to plan events at key film festivals that suit their needs. New York Film Critics Circle For several years Falco organized the annual black tie affair held at Windows on the World and later The Russian Tea Room. AWARDS CAMPAIGNS Falco Ink. strategize and implements awards campaigns for both studio and independent films. These campaigns reach the MPAA for the Academy Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press for the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild for the SAG Awards, the Directors Guild of America for the DGA Awards etc. We also work with the National, New York and regional film critics associations as well as the National Board of Review. PERSONAL PUBLICITY Falco builds relationships with directors, producers, actors and other people in the entertainment industry and on a case by case basis we take on personal accounts. Personal clients of Falco Ink have included directors Neil LaBute, Tom Tykwer, Patricia Riggen and Raymond De Felitta, author Ed Sikov and actor Vincent Pastore. CORPORATE PUBLICITY Falco Ink. handles corporate accounts in the same fashion that we handle personal accounts. We take on these accounts on a case-by-case scenario, looking to build relationships with clients that share our philosophy of thinking outside the box. We work to find original ways for our clients to reach out to their target market and when appropriate to expand this market. Clients have included Wind Dancer Films, Balance Bars and Easter Seals of New York. MARKETING Falco Ink. specializes in marketing through influential seeding. We utilize our strong ties to the entertainment industry in the areas of film, television, fashion, music and sports to tap into our target market. Our campaign for Balance Bars was extremely successful, elevating it to a position of brand recognition among tastemakers. "A" level celebrities now have their assistants call for supplies. Due to our involvement, Balance Bars was highlighted on an E! special "It's Good to Be Kelly Ripa" and has been the hit of many film festivals, goody bags and green rooms. INTERNET / NEW MEDIA MARKETING AND PUBLICITY Formed in 2004, Falco Ink's New Media division brings its expertise to new media opportunities in a variety of ways, aimed to not only optimize new new media as a means to reach consumers, but to strategically implement new approaches to projects that are unveiled in unconventional and / or multi-platform ways. Falco Ink can be retained to handle all internet publicity and promotions for a project, utilizing solid relationships with major online editorial opinion makers, as well as our tracking of and outreach to the sites, editors and trends of tomorrow. Our multi-tiered approach concentrates on top-level sites as well the more highly specialized sites specificallly targeted per project. Falco Ink. also recently expanded its operations to handle online content. We will help find publicity opportunities for online content in both old and new media. We recently launched Wayne Wang's "The Princess of Nebraska" on YouTube. The film garnered the highest number of online viewers for a studio film in its launch and our media reach included major hits in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Time.com and on NPR among others. The film marks the first time that The New York Times reviewed an online feature premiere. |
